That distinction between the more atmospheric Metroid and the more background plot based Shadow Complex isnt necessarily a bad thing.

"Bringing Shadow Complex to a larger audience of gamers across multiple platforms has always been one of our goals at Chair," co-founder and creative director Donald Mustard said in a statement back in December. Shadow Complex is loosely based on a series of novels, so it makes sense to have more on an emphasis of its plot considering the source material it borrows from. Overall, the game offers around 10 hours of gameplay, according to its official description. Shadow Complex's new version contains all of the content from the 2009 original, but upgraded with better graphics and "all-new dynamic melee take-downs." There are also new Achievements and Master Challenges to unlock.
It was free on PC until December 31, but now sells for $15.
